I was in the midst of a juice cleanse and may not stop thinking about
how much I needed a salad how big is my face. Or grilled fish with a glass of
wines followed by some Fro Yo with major levels of sprinkles and pink-frosted animal crackers.
Then to make issues worse, I watched THE MEALS Network again. These were playing Crimson Lobster advertisements which nearly caused me to drool on myself.
I guess you could say my cravings had been pretty ridiculous; then again it was most
likely my own problem for viewing Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
There is good news though: I truly feel incredible and since I love sharing my discoveries
along with you, I journaled my experience with the
cleanse. I anticipate posting it sometime this week.
Probably it will inspire you, too!
Okay more than enough chatting, can we reach the muffins?
I baked these your day before I started juicing and they were completely great tasting,
moist, and filling. Plus they're heart-healthy and I've kept calories in balance by adding the following:
Applesauce: I replaced the usual oil within the muffins with applesauce, which helps will keep them moist and provides them a tiny
bit of sweetness with out a ton of added glucose.
I absolutely like the texture of the!
Almond Dairy: I love baking with almond dairy because it offers handful of fat
for your muffins without adding calories.
It is also generally fuller in consistency vs regular dairy and
helps to keep muffins moist!
Oatmeal: There's oatmeal both in and on top of the muffin;
it gives it an oaty flavor and also provides fiber and proteins.
WHOLE WHEAT GRAINS Pastry Flour: I opted to use whole wheat pastry flour seeing that it's a whole
lot lighter than regular whole wheat grains. It can help the muffins from turning thick.
You can even make use of regular flour or all-purpose gluten-free!
Cinnamon: Applesauce and cinnamon go with one another perfectly and put great flavor!
Oh and did you know studies show that cinnamon really helps to regular blood sugar levels?
Win!
Walnuts: They're are high in Omega-3 and good fats,
so they'll help to keep you total all morning hours long.
Remeber never to be afraid of the nice fats!
Blueberries: An excellent fruit full of antioxidants and absolutely gorgeous in muffins.
These are filled with juicy blueberries that burst in your mouth!
My favorite component (aside from the juicy blueberries) may be the
walnut-oat streusel; it's a bit crunchy and sugary.
I LOVE that all muffin is 172 healthy calories
from fat and packages 5g of protein; trust me, they're filling up!
Oh and theses babies will also be freezer-friendly so you
can grab one, reheat, and go!
I ate mine warm and spread with almond butter and a drizzle of honey.
Enjoy!
